New school for the children in Kabiria, Nairobi

It is with great joy that we share the latest news from Kabiria, Kenya, where every day, your generosity continues to transform lives.

Since the opening of our new school in January 2025, the first months have been filled with joy, learning, and growth. What was once just a dream has now become a vibrant center for 100 children in early childhood education and 106 enrolled in primary school, together with their families.

What’s new at Hai Africa:

• Our school now serves 206 children with dignity, safety, and love.

• Our teachers have graduated from college, further strengthening the quality of education we offer.

• We are celebrating a milestone: our very first student has entered university, proving that with education and opportunity, dreams truly do come true.

• The new school space, with solar energy, clean water, and a proper kitchen, allows us to provide healthier meals and a better environment for learning.

• Our impact now reaches over 250 families in Kabiria, spreading hope throughout the community.

• We are preparing for the Hai Experience 2025 group, the graduation celebration, and the special Registration Day.

With growth also come new challenges. More children mean higher costs for food, educational materials, and staff salaries. We want to remain transparent: your support is essential for us to continue this work.

It’s with immense joy and gratitude that we share an important update from Kabiria, Kenya.

Thanks to your generous support, our dream of building a new Hai Africa school became a beautiful reality. Since January 8th, 2025, our new school has been filled with children, laughter, learning, and life.

We now have 206 children enrolled, including those in our primary program. The space — complete with open windows, clean bathrooms, a proper kitchen, solar energy, and clean water — is a reflection of everything we believe in: dignity, safety, joy, and transformation through education.

But this isn’t the end of a journey. It’s just the beginning.

As our school grows, so do our challenges. With more children, we now face higher operational costs — from food and security, to educational materials and new staff salaries.

We want to be transparent with you: continuing this work requires resources. Every contribution helps us ensure that each child is fed, safe, and learning with love.
