Our goal is to keep learners in school beyond grade 7. Currently, the nearest high school is 12 miles (20 km) away from Maunga Village. For many families, the high costs of travel, boarding, and tuition make continuing education impossible, which forces many young learners to drop out after primary school.
We are building a high school in Maunga Village to give learners the chance to continue their education close to home. This will ease the financial burden on families and open doors to a brighter future.
Our expansion plan includes essential improvements such as a fully equipped science lab, additional classrooms, a new dormitory, and more housing for teachers. This year, we are excited to begin renovating the science lab: a critical step toward providing quality education.
This school will serve learners from Maunga Village and other surrounding villages who cannot access or afford schooling in Livingstone town.
