Dear Supporters,
Laos is a beautiful country that in the past has attracted many tourists. This has potential for local people to gain valuable experiences and skills to set up their own business or seek employment into the tourist industry. However english and education is vital for this to happen and the local government does not invest into the education system with allocating only 3.3% of the country budget devoted to education.
Because of your support through this very special project our dedicated team have been able to ensure we have been able to provide access to english lessons and further skilled education to local community members that eventually will graduate with skills that can help them gain employment.
Over the past three months COVID has hit everyone and although restrictions have been put in place we have continued to provide the support and education online and locally following strict protocol. As we prepare for the schools to reopen we have lots of plans to help steep up our lessons and student learning but what comes with this is a need of further funding.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for being part of this project. It is time for action and change and we are equipped and ready to react in Laos with you by our side.
With Gratitude,
Laos Scholarships
