Happy New Year!

 As enter 2026, we want to begin by saying how grateful we are to be part of this movement with you. 

At the start of a new year, we are usually full of hope. It’s a chance to consider all that is possible and the positive impact we can create in the world. This year, that feeling has been harder to reach. From worsening conflicts to intensifying climate disasters to rising authoritarianism, communities here and abroad are paying the price. The scale of it all can feel overwhelming and make even the most committed of us wonder if change is possible. It’s hard not to feel helpless. 

 But we'vebeen reminded of something essential: hope is essential.

 Hope lives in the community leaders organizing to respond to crises; in the activists putting themselves on the line to demand justice; in the young people showing up, speaking out, and claiming their right to shape democracy. These are acts of hope and courage, fueled by the belief that a better world is not only necessary but achievable. That same hope shows up every time you act: when you make a gift or sign a petition to support our work.

 We are so incredibly grateful for you all. We couldn’t do this work without you. Your generosity inspires us. Because of your commitment, we can continue doing what we do best: supporting frontline communities around the world in strengthening their power and protecting their rights.

 We look forward to continuing this journey together. Whatever this year brings, with you by our side, we will persevere.
