From The USA to London: One Mission, Shared Impact

In the UK in late 2025, the Matt Ratana Rugby Academy launched. Supported by TackleLondon, the Academy is a brand-new development pathway designed for young people who have shown enthusiasm, potential, and commitment through the TackleLondon schools programme.

The Academy provides selected students with an additional midweek training session in a high-quality, supportive environment. By bringing young people together from across Croydon and Bromley, it raises standards, builds confidence and creates new peer networks rooted in belonging and ambition. This is about deepening opportunity, strengthening progression and giving young people the space to grow.

Sustaining the Vision

This work is made possible through ongoing support - funds that allow programs to provide essentials like gear, travel assistance, meals, academic guidance, and participation in shared events. These resources ensure that no young person is left behind due to financial or logistical barriers.
