Hello friends
I wanted to share an update from our rural health clinic about three hours (around 200km) outside the city. The community of roughly 6,000 residents has no doctors or hospital nearby, so this independent clinic was set up to support them.
Unfortunately we’ve had a serious setback. Our solar panels were stolen, so the fridge storing medications stopped working and many of the essential medicines have spoiled. Alongside this the maternity ward is operating under very basic conditions: there is no running water, motherstobe must bring their own blankets, and the staff lack tools and equipment to care for pregnant women safely. Family planning is also a huge challenge. Currently about a dozen women are pregnant at any given time, and the clinic has no dedicated programme or resources to support them.
We are urgently seeking investment to restore this clinic to a safe and functional space for the farming community it serves. The needs include a secure power supply, running water, equipment for maternity care, and structured familyplanning and prenatal classes.
Your support today can make a big difference. With funding we can replace the solar system, restock medications, provide safe labour beds, and offer the training and workshops needed for the women in the community.
Thank you for standing with us and for helping keep this vital clinic operating for those who have nowhere else to turn.
Warm regards
