Our program aims to build character, personal integrity, and a better understanding of the importance of a balanced give and take in every aspect of life, from one’s relationship with one’s parents, teachers, school and the natural world.

Our key educational focus has been to instil the following guiding principles:

  • To teaching children about the interconnectedness of all life in order to restore balance in the world.
  • By helping young people understand how they fit into the natural environment—and how their choices impact it—we equip them to make decisions that positively affect their families, communities, and the planet.
  • Through learning about exchange and the balance of “give and take,” they gain greater responsibility and awareness.

This year has been particularly impactful, here just a few highlights:

  • Presenting our program to 200 learners at the Nelson Mandela Community Centre.
  • Working with 80 learners from St. Julius Secondary School using our Because No One Survives Alone workbook, yielding remarkable results.
  • Delivering our education program to the KwaXimba Business Association.
  • Engaging 1,600 learners at the 10th Happy Earth Festival in Pietermaritzburg through interactive environmental education.
  • Sharing the Helping You Helps Me workbook with 80 young learners at Acacia Primary School, inspiring meaningful growth and personal insight.
  • Partnering with the South Durban Area Based Management team of the eThekwini Municipality to bring our workbooks to over 1,000 learners in 2025, beginning with Yellowwood Park Primary School.

Our own survival is interwoven with, and interdependent upon, the health and survival of those life forms and things around us. We will cintinue to teach children about the interconnectedness of all life so that we can bring the world back into balance.

“It took billions of years for nature to develop dynamic, viable relationships between Earth and its countless life forms. Now, in just over a hundred years, these natural balances are threatening to fall irrevocably out of kilter.” – Dr. Lawrence Anthony
