Our organization ran a series of art workshops to support the integration of unaccompanied refugee children. The workshops were facilitated by a psychologist and maintained a dual focus on: providing emotional support and strengthening essential skills for successful adaptation.
The main goal of the program was to develop social skills, learning abilities, and concentration through creative activities. Art was used not only as a form of self-expression but also as a structured method to practice cooperation, patience, and problem-solving. The activities encouraged children to interact, share ideas, and build trust with peers, while individual tasks promoted focus and persistence.
The psychologist guided the sessions with trauma-sensitive approaches, ensuring a safe environment where children could explore creativity without fear of failure. Over time, participants showed improved attention span, greater self-confidence, and better peer-to-peer communication. These outcomes demonstrate the workshops’ impact in fostering integration and supporting long-term educational inclusion.
