The first days of June have arrived, bringing with them the warmth and light of early summer. As we welcome this new season, we pause to reflect on the road behind us and the resilience it has taken to come this far. Thanks to steadfast support and careful planning, Dzherelo Centre continues to operate with strength and stability.

Over recent months, we have managed to maintain our services without major interruptions. This alone is a tremendous achievement in the current reality of Ukraine, and we do not take it for granted. We are especially pleased to share that several new projects, in partnership with our international allies, are now underway. Each one is a step forward — for our team, for the families we serve, and for the inclusive, caring society we believe in.

Throughout this time, we have remained closely connected with the families of children and young people with disabilities. These families face enormous challenges even in the best of times, and in the face of war and economic instability, their burdens are heavier still. Dzherelo continues to support them by providing essential items such as food packages, hygiene products, and other necessities. This is not only about meeting material needs — it is about sustaining dignity, relieving anxiety, and offering a foundation of hope. We look toward a future where every child and every family can thrive in peace.

Of course, the challenges haven’t disappeared. As the summer sets in, we remain mindful of what may come. Last year’s extreme heat brought a wave of strain, especially on the country’s energy grid. Power outages were frequent, disrupting both daily life and critical services. We sincerely hope that this summer will be milder — and that Ukraine’s infrastructure will be spared from further attacks. But hope is not our only plan.

As always, we stay prepared. At Dzherelo, we continue to stock emergency fuel and maintain our backup generator, ensuring that no matter the weather or the circumstances, we are ready to provide the assistance our community counts on. This readiness is not just about resources — it is about responsibility, about trust, and about the belief that everyone deserves safety, dignity, and continuity of care.
