Hi there,
I want to share with you a powerful story made possible by your support of our Home-Care Program for older adults.
Meet Segundo. After a stroke many years ago, he lost his ability to walk. For a long time, his life was confined to a bed — a reality filled with dependence, frustration, and loneliness. But everything changed when he began receiving care and rehabilitation support from our team.
Through regular visits from our therapists and caregivers, he began to rebuild strength, balance and confidence. Slowly, step by step, Segundo stood up again for the first time in years. Today, he walks with a cane, he dresses himself, and he has regained the independence he once thought lost forever.
This progress is not only physical. It has also restored peace at home. His wife, his daughter and his grandson have seen how dignity and autonomy returned to his life — and to theirs. What once felt like a heavy burden has become a story of resilience, love and possibility.
Because of you, older adults like Segundo are not facing aging alone.
You are helping them recover mobility, confidence and the hope of living again with dignity.
