1. Introduction

Ratanang Day Care is a safe and joyful environment where children are nurtured with care, respect, and encouragement to reach their fullest potential. The centre provides quality early childhood education designed to foster positive growth in every aspect of a child’s development.

Our program adopts a holistic approach that supports each child’s social, physical, emotional, and intellectual growth. We recognize that every child is unique and that positive early childhood experiences play a crucial role in shaping their future development. Ratanang Day Care strives to maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that promotes learning through play, exploration, and appropriate role modelling — laying a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

3. Learning Thematics

Farm Animals

This theme focused on helping children learn about different types of farm animals, their sounds, and colours, as well as understanding their physical characteristics such as the number of legs, eyes, and ears.
Children were also encouraged to create songs about animals and their sounds, combining fun with learning to enhance
language and memory development.

Transport and the Sea

These themes were carefully selected to help children learning about different modes of transport. This thematic enables the children to understand their surroundings and the important roles that water plays in daily life and community development.

4. Activities Conducted Under these Themes

Animal theme:

  • Colouring pictures of different animals using their natural colours.
  • Imitating and identifying the sounds of various farm animals.
  • Learning the first letters of animal names to promote early literacy skills.

Transport Theme:
The transport theme focused on fostering a deeper understanding of how different modes of transport contribute to economic growth, environmental sustainability, and social inclusion. Children were introduced to the concept of flow, size, and points of concentration, as well as the various modes of transport such as land, air, and sea. Through interactive discussions and visual aids, children learned how transportation connects people and communities, helping them appreciate its importance in everyday life.

Sea Theme:
The sea theme aimed to educate children about the uses and importance of water in daily living. Activities highlighted how water is essential for drinking, brushing teeth, bathing, cooking, cleaning, watering plants, and maintaining good hygiene. Through creative activities and storytelling, children learned to value water as a precious natural resource and to use it responsibly
