Introduction
Bhongolethu School's playground is unsafe and outdated, with broken equipment and hazardous surfaces. Located in an under-resourced area of Masiphumelele, Cape Town, the school lacks funding for repairs. Children have limited access to safe, stimulating outdoor spaces essential for healthy physical, emotional, and social development, negatively impacting their growth and well-being.
Report
A safe, engaging playground will enhance physical health, mental well-being, and learning outcomes for over 120 children annually. It will foster resilience, teamwork, and confidence while strengthening community pride and involvement. This investment in play will contribute to a more supportive educational environment, helping children develop into healthier, happier, and more successful individuals over the long term. A donation of $10 will purchase a swing.
