We are pleased to provide you with a progress report on the Book Bike program's activities in the low-income communities of Lahore. This initiative continues to make a significant impact on the lives of children in these underserved areas. We would like to express our gratitude to all our generous donors for making this project possible. I
n the past month, the Book Bike has been visiting various low-income communities in Lahore to provide access to quality books to children who otherwise may not have had such an opportunity.
The response from the children and their families has been overwhelming, and we are proud to share some of the feedback and joy expressed by six new children;
1. Qasim, a young boy residing in Canal Park, has developed a deep love for the Book Bike. He eagerly awaits its visits and often asks the Book Bike Librarian to come daily or more often. Qasim has found great joy in the good books offered by the Book Bike, and his enthusiasm for reading has grown remarkably.
2. Hania is another enthusiastic reader who has a particular interest in science books. She is also proactive in exploring books beyond her syllabus. Hania has expressed her delight that the librarian comes to her doorstep with an array of books, allowing her to quench her thirst for knowledge.
3. Nida, a bright young girl, has discovered the world of storytelling through the Book Bike. She shared, "The stories take me to different places, and I can't thank the Book Bike enough for bringing these adventures to our neighborhood."
4. Saba, who aspires to be a writer one day, has found immense inspiration in the books she's received from the Book Bike. She mentioned, "The books have not only expanded my knowledge but also kindled my imagination and passion for writing."
5. Farah, a new reader, has quickly fallen in love with the world of literature. She said, "I never knew reading could be so much fun. The Book Bike is like a magical library on wheels that brings happiness to my doorstep."
6. Ayesha, a dedicated student, praised the program for helping her improve her reading and comprehension skills. "The Book Bike's visits have made learning enjoyable, and my grades at school have improved too," she said.
We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the donors and supporters of the Book Bike program. Your generous contributions have made it possible to bring the joy of reading and learning to these underprivileged communities. With your continued support, we can expand our reach and make an even greater impact on the lives of children in Lahore. We are excited about the future of the Book Bike program and look forward to further enhancing the educational opportunities for these children. Thank you for your unwavering support and commitment to promoting literacy and a love for books in our communities.
