Brazil is grappling with persistent flooding worsened by climatic shifts, known for bringing intense rainfall to southern coastal regions. In regions like Rio Grande do Sul and Minas Gerais, recurring flooding and under-resourced recovery efforts continue to impede communities from rebuilding.
All donations to this fund will support flood-affected communities in Brazil, with a priority focus on the most disadvantaged and overlooked communities. Initially, the fund will help first responders meet survivors' immediate needs for food, fuel, clean water, medicine, and shelter. It will also support longer-term recovery efforts run by local, vetted organizations in impacted areas, particularly those working with low-income, historically underserved communities.
