Exhibition: What is our impact on the world?

Dear partner,

We are immensely grateful for the contributions made that supported the viability of our project during this period. We continue on our mission to educate children and adolescents in Vale do Capão, a region neighboring the Chapada Diamantina National Park, contributing to a sustainable life, to the construction and consolidation of habits and attitudes of care and preservation of the natural, social and relational environment of 84 children up to 11 years old and 53 adolescents, up to 15 years old. The amounts obtained from the contributions have helped to pay the teachers on our team, currently composed of 11 educators in early childhood and elementary education I, and 12 educators in elementary school II. The school does not receive regular funding from institutions or government support, and the main support comes from contributions from families, in amounts and services. The teachers still do not receive payment for the hours of planning, and we still have important structural issues to resolve, such as the septic tank, the bathrooms and the sink in the cafeteria. One of the bathrooms, the adult bathroom, has been closed for approximately 2 months, and we still do not have enough resources to cover this expense.

Therefore, all contributions are very valuable to help us fulfill our mission!

We would appreciate it if you could share our project with your family and friends. We are sending you records of actions developed during this period, which highlight how much it is possible to carry out actions of engagement and critical education, even in the face of challenging conditions! In addition to the day-to-day planting, waste management, appreciation of local fauna and flora, and connection with indigenous peoples, we visit trails to identify fungi, and carry out sharing activities with families so that reflections and actions can spread throughout the community.
