Dear Donor
Amid the difficult humanitarian conditions faced by many families in northern Syria, the suffering of orphaned children continues to grow as they live with their families under harsh living circumstances after losing their primary breadwinner. Many of these families struggle to secure adequate meals, especially during the blessed month of Ramadan, as prices rise and employment opportunities remain limited.
As part of our ongoing humanitarian efforts to support the most vulnerable families, our field teams distributed hot iftar meals consisting of lahmacun (meat flatbread) to the family of the orphaned child Hamza, who lives with his mother and his sister Rawaa in Malham Village for Orphans in northern Syria. Following the loss of the father, the family has been living under modest and challenging conditions, with the mother carrying the responsibility of caring for her two children and trying to meet their daily needs despite very limited resources.
This warm meal helped provide the family with a dignified iftar during Ramadan and brought a moment of comfort and happiness to the children. For many families in affected villages and displacement areas, such meals represent meaningful support that helps them overcome some of the daily challenges related to securing food.
These humanitarian initiatives would not be possible without the generosity of compassionate donors who continue to stand alongside vulnerable families. Every meal delivered carries a message of solidarity and hope to families struggling through difficult times.
We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to supporting these humanitarian efforts. May their generosity be rewarded, and we remain committed to continuing our work to reach more families in need and provide assistance whenever possible.
