The WIP initiative continues to move forward successfully, strengthening its commitment to improving the lives of people in vulnerable situations across Lebanon. After the remarkable progress achieved in supporting youth employment, the program is now expanding its impact through new healthcare projects, such as the medical dispensary in Tripoli.
Thanks to the collaboration between local partners and the constant support of the community, the dispensary has become an essential point of reference for many families without access to basic medical care. Every day, doctors and volunteers offer free consultations, medicine, and above all a compassionate presence to those in need.
One of the most touching stories is that of Josephine, a 76-year-old woman who suffers from low blood pressure and joint calcification. These conditions make it difficult for her to remain independent and being completely alone in the world certainly doesn’t make it easier. She also relies on medication to support her mental health, as the pain and daily struggles often take an emotional toll. At the Al-Mina Oasis dispensary in Tripoli, Josephine has found more than medical assistance. Here, she receives the medicines she needs every day to stay healthy and live with dignity, but also the warmth and kindness of people who make her feel less alone. “Thanks to your donation,” she says, “I can take my medicines and continue living in good condition.” Her story is a moving reminder of how much difference a simple act of generosity can make.
Today, the program continues to look ahead with determination: the Tripoli dispensary will keep growing, creating new opportunities for care and prevention for an increasing number of people. Every contribution makes a difference, allowing us to pursue this journey of solidarity and transformation, and to build a fairer and more inclusive society.
Supporting the WIP project means believing in the power of community, in the value of inclusion, and in the right to health for everyone. Thanks to the continued support of all those involved, we can keep transforming gratitude into concrete acts of hope and life.
