By Joaquin Altgelt | Director

During 2025, we were able to send six handwashing stations to northern Argentina to continue building together.
The schools were 195, 453, and 31 in Chaco; School 15 in Buenos Aires; and Schools 366 and 294 in Río Negro.
The project achieved its goals and objectives. It has provided many lessons learned and challenges for continued work, as we are convinced that educational communities represent the best opportunity to address SDG 6 and generate impact.
Thank you to everyone's contribution, which helps us continue building and sending these stations to different schools in northern Argentina.
We hope for an even better 2026 so we can reach more rural schools!
Thank you :)

2025 Update (Part 3)
By Thomas Vandenberg | Project Manager
As the project continues to gain momentum, we are encouraged by the progress already made and the opportunities that lie ahead. In recent months, our team has successfully completed several site assessments and has begun the first installations in communities that have long gone without reliable hygiene resources.
These early stations are already being used daily, reinforcing the importance of this work and highlighting the impact that access to clean water and safe handwashing can have on public health and overall quality of life. Looking ahead, we are preparing to bring this model to additional communities, with an emphasis on building stronger local partnerships and ensuring that each project is designed with long-term sustainability in mind.
Training sessions are being well received, and many residents are stepping forward to take ownership of maintaining the stations, which is a key part of ensuring their effectiveness for years to come. By continuing to expand both the physical infrastructure and the knowledge base within each community, we are laying the groundwork for lasting change. None of this would be possible without the generosity of our supporters, and we look forward to keeping you updated as more communities benefit from this effort in the months ahead.

2025 Update (Part 2)
By Thomas Vandenberg | Project Manager
As we move deeper into the year, we’re excited to share where the project is headed and what we aim to accomplish in the months ahead. Our core goal remains clear: to expand access to hygiene infrastructure by building handwashing stations in rural and underserved communities across Argentina. This year, we’re focused on reaching at least 15 new communities, prioritizing areas with limited access to clean water and high community traffic, such as local markets, rural schools, and health centers. Over the next several months, our team will continue working closely with local leaders to identify ideal locations, coordinate logistics, and ensure that every station we install is accessible, durable, and locally managed. We’re also expanding our training efforts, equipping community members with the knowledge and tools needed to maintain these systems long-term. By the end of 2025, we aim to not only complete construction in all 15 target communities but also build a sustainable model for local ownership and upkeep—ensuring these stations continue serving their purpose well beyond this year. We’re grateful for the continued support that makes this work possible. With your help, we’re not just building handwashing stations—we’re strengthening the foundation for healthier, more resilient communities across Argentina. Stay tuned for more updates as the year progresses!
