Dear Donors,
We are pleased to share an encouraging update on our ongoing housing initiative. Tarana has officially commenced construction of two residential homes aimed at providing safe and dignified shelter for two deserving families in need.
Project Overview
Locations:
Anamaduwa (Kurunegala District) - To a deserving family of 5 (Husband and Wife and three children)
Horembewa (Kuliyapitiya) - To a deserving single mother with a child
Beneficiaries: Two underprivileged families identified based on need and vulnerability.
Funding Status
The Anamaduwa house is fully funded, thanks to the generous support of a committed donor.
The Horembewa house is currently 80% funded, and we continue to seek support to fully meet the remaining financial requirements.
Timeline & Progress
Construction began in early June 2025, with an estimated completion timeframe of 5–6 months.
Our teams are working diligently to maintain momentum and quality throughout the build process.
Impact
These homes will not only offer protection and stability but also restore dignity, peace of mind, and a fresh start for both families. Your kindness is laying the foundation—literally and metaphorically—for a brighter future.
We extend our deepest gratitude for your contribution and continued trust. More updates and photos will follow as the project progresses.
Warm regards,
Suranjani Wickremeratne
