More opportunities than challenges for our kids!

It's almost 2 years since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. Our lives have changed and we are more and more used to living and working digitally. These changes are here to stay!

Faiza and Fahim have continued with their Greek lessons and we have added more children and young adults to our online lessons for refugees and displaced children and young adults. This was achieved thanks to your generosity.

Faiza and Fahim's lives, and those of the other kids we are supporting, are encoutering more opportunities than challenges from this distance learning. Most are learning from their mobile phones, almost all are living in small spaces and have little privacy. Their Wifi and mobile data are often instable and always expensive. However, most of them would not have access to formal education and therefore even with struggles and adjustment, having online lessons is really very important to them. Our program allows them to acquire language skills (Greek and English) that are so essential to their integration, working opportunities, general education and social skills.

Education is a human right. We should not allow the Pandemic to further increase setbacks in the general education and learning of refugee and displaced kids and young adults anywhere. Luckily online lessons are a very valuable, economical and empowering tool keeping isolated young adults in touch with volunteers and teachers who are giving their time and energy with passion and enthusiams. With your support we could further increase the number of students and hours offered. Thank you!
