The team has put your funds to use and have made huge progress in the construction of the clinic. Pictures show a much easier to understand layout of the walls, doors, windows and hallways. The team started work on the roof for the 2nd half of the clinic and are moving into the plastering and polishing of it. Additionally, the internal divisions i.e. walls, doors, and windows can now be more easily measured as the team works on the plastering and polishing of the walls for the first half of the clinic which has been our key priority until now.
• The team is now starting to dig the trenches for the electrical cabling as well as plumbing.
• 3 light posts have been purchased and delivery is scheduled to El Rodeito.
The Next steps in construction will focus on:
• Finishing (smoothing/prepping for paint) exterior walls in the clinic – essentially this will smooth the walls and have them ready to be painted at a later point in the construction. They will use a water base primer paint for now.
• Finishing (smoothing/prepping for paint) interior walls of clinic, a special adhesive is used in this phase of construction to improve cement bonding to the walls and ceilings
• Finishing (smoothing) of the roof on the 2nd half of construction
• Installation of main electrical feed from the main road to the clinic building – this involves feeding main electrical cables from the street, installing the electrical poles, and bringing the main electrical cables underneath the construction.
• Bathroom installation and ceramic flooring on bathrooms
