Autumn is Coming with Greater Goals

By Mina Raduncheva | Project Leader

Already missing the summer
Already missing the summer

We are still struggling with finding staff or volunteers to help us with the therapeutic riding sessions. In the meantime, we are making plans for 2026. First, we are planning to create a program for the parents of children with special needs. Helping the families coping with a disability or another condition of their loved ones is a mission for us. It is not efficient if we are targeting only the children but we as a community need to support the entire family. For that reason we are planning to create a holistic equine-assisted activities program for the parents and/or caretakers of children with special needs.

We already have 2 horses that are advanced in age. With the first heavy rain of this autumn they began losing weight very quickly and now they need lots of extra special food. There are also two young horses who need regular training. That is only part of the everyday care for the horses that are the true therapists. So, our second goal is to broaden our volunteering program. We need to ensure staff is available for the therapeutic riding program in 2026 and we receive support for training and caring for our beautiful horses.

Finally, we are finishing our 3 year project Youth Going Back to Nature – Engage, Connect, Empower, supported by the Erasmus+ program where we managed to coordinate and participate in the development of 21 environmentally sustainable outdoor activities for young people with special needs, youth at risk, and young women. Check out all of its resources at www.outdoorportal.eu .

Big applause to all of you that donated and supported our organization! You are the hero!
