By Ayushi Rai | Project Leader

A meeting room is now operational and making a difference for the children at the nursery school.
Colorful murals brighten the walls, painted with trees, flowers, butterflies, and natural scenes that create an inspiring, child centered learning environment. The room is filled with proper sized furniture (colorful chairs and tables) and educational materials. This gives these children a welcoming environment to learn and grow.
Combined with previous improvements, there are cemented floors for cleanliness and safety with fresh paint throughout. The playground equipment has been upgraded and repaired. The school compound is now a nurturing hub where students can learn.
Thank you for your constant support!.

Youth Team Upgrades Playground
In preparation for the new school term, many repairs and upgrades were accomplished in the classrooms. For example, classroom walls were painted to brighten the learning space. Fresh paint made the rooms more welcoming and motivating for children. Parents and teachers noted that the improved appearance created a better atmosphere that encouraged both teaching and learning.
Another improvement was cementing the classroom floors. Before, dust and uneven surfaces made it difficult to keep the rooms clean. With cemented floors, the classrooms are now cleaner, safer, and easier to maintain, which directly supports the health and comfort of the children.
The playground was upgraded with play equipment made of smooth and sturdy rubber tires. This created a safer and more organized area for children to play during breaks. Lastly, the pavement was repaired to help prevent injuries, reduce dust and mud, and make the school compound look neat and child friendly.

Youth Leaders Create Change For the Better

Youth Teamwork Builds Toilets
The youth leaders of Cyaruzinge VIlage have had a busy Spring. They organized themselves as an active change agent in the community and set to work. First, they helped the people of Kinyana VIllage improve their kitchen gardens. Then, they began to make bricks out of clay. The bricks are heavy and can create strong walls when stacked tightly together.
As a team, they stacked the bricks and cemented them with wet clay. When that dries, they will plaster over the bricks with another layer of clay to protect the inner wall against the torrential rains. Afterwards, a carpenter will attach a metal roof and a sturdy wooden door, to complete the privacy room around the toilet hole.
The elderlay woman who lives near the new toilet will finally have a private place to attend to her personal hygiene...for the first time in her life! The youth are leading the way to show that teamwork works wonders. Thank you, our donors for supporting this fantastic effort of the youthful leaders as they honor their elders and build confidence in their ability to make the world a better place.
