We are so grateful for your continued support of our mission to build a school in rural Laos. Thanks to your generosity and belief in this project, we are moving closer to turning a dream into a reality for children who have, for too long, gone without access to a safe and suitable place to learn.
This past quarter, our local team has made real progress. Land has been secured in the village, and after extensive community consultation, we’ve finalized the plans for the new school building. Local families and village leaders have been involved every step of the way, ensuring the design reflects both cultural values and the practical needs of the children.
Currently, many students are learning in a structure made from bamboo and tin. It leaks during the rainy season and offers little shelter from the heat or cold. Still, these children come every day, eager to learn. Their resilience continues to inspire us—and reminds us why this project matters so deeply.
The school we are building will include permanent classrooms, a safe roof, proper flooring, and enough space for every child to sit, learn, and grow. We are also working with local educators to ensure that the curriculum is relevant and engaging, and that teachers have the resources they need to thrive in the new space.
As we enter the next phase of the project, we will begin gathering materials and engaging skilled workers from nearby villages to begin construction. Our goal is not only to build a school but to strengthen the entire community through the process—creating jobs, building skills, and investing in long-term opportunity.
Every dollar raised on GlobalGiving so far has helped move this vision forward. Your support is laying bricks, quite literally, for a better future. This is more than a building. It is a commitment to equity, education, and hope for the next generation of Laotian children.
