Every Brick Counts: Youth Community Centre Update!

The walls are going up!

Dear supporters,

We are pleased to share a formal progress update on the Livingstone Youth Community Centre project.

Project Progress Since the Previous Report

• Roofing completed: Roofing works have been finalized, providing a secure and weatherproof structure.

• Structural walls initiated: Wall set-out has commenced, establishing the building layout and defining key spaces.

Upcoming Works and Planned Milestones

The next phase will focus on setting out and progressing walls for:

• Individual rooms within the centre

• Ablution block

• Two classrooms

• Cottage

• Staff office space

Why This Matters

• These elements are essential to delivering a safe, functional, and welcoming centre that will support education, youth empowerment, and community programming.

• Completing the roof and advancing wall works strengthens the building’s resilience to weather and enables a smoother transition into interior construction, supporting year-round use and long-term sustainability.

Looking Ahead

We will continue to provide updates as we move through:

• Wall construction completion

• Plumbing and electrical installations

• Interior finishes and final works required to operationalize the centre
