Dear Friends,
Asia America Initiative thanks you for donating to our ongoing project to help children with cancer at the House of Hope in Davao, Philippines.
Our partner hospitals provide medication free of charge to children fighting cancer. AAI complements their mission by providing nutritional and educational support. We especially try to instill a sense of life through our toy giving. This is especially important for young children who need care and guidance but older children and teenagers benefit as well from our related artistic programs. Often, these children whose parents are largely indigent farm laborers, have never had a toy of their own. The cuddly stuffed animals become a touchstone of support as they go through their medical treatments.
We are very grateful and welcome our new volunteers who continue our tradition of giving parties for the children to receive gifts and participate in games and crafts. Our art programs conducted in hospital wards build a joyful attitude to embrace life and enhance their healing process. Your role is essential!
