Building strong, confident, and well-equipped teachers remains at the heart of our mission. Every teacher we train will go on to inspire and educate thousands of young minds throughout their career, creating a lasting ripple of impact that transforms entire communities.

While our long-term goal is to fully fund new teachers through complete professional training, we have not yet reached the funding level needed to make that possible. Instead, your support has been vital in helping us deliver targeted, high-impact training to teachers already working in some of the most challenging schools we support.

Over the past three months:

• In South Africa, one of our incredible teachers completed Play Therapy training, equipping her with vital tools to support children who have experienced trauma.

• In India, another teacher completed specialized training to work with children with mental disabilities as she joins our inclusive school in Kerala dedicated to supporting children with special needs.

These achievements may seem small in number, but the depth of their impact is enormous. Each teacher now has the skills to better understand, support, and empower hundreds of children each year  children who otherwise might fall through the cracks of the education system.

We continue to dream big: to see more teachers in under-resourced communities trained not only in academic methods but also in behavioral support, psychosocial care, and creative education tools. A simple teaching degree is not enough for the realities they face but together, we can change that.

Hello To Our Fantastic Supporters!

My name is Victoria, and I’m a Grade 3 teacher in a township school in South Africa. Thanks to your support, I was able to train not only as a primary school teacher but also as a play therapist — and that training has truly changed lives.

Life here isn’t easy. Many children I teach have faced violence, gun incidents, the loss of homes to fire, and heartbreaking losses of friends at a very young age. They carry trauma that no child should ever have to bear.

That’s why play therapy is so important. For children in Grade R through Grade 3, these sessions after school offer a safe space to express feelings, understand their experiences, and start healing. I’ve seen firsthand how they engage with hope and positivity, learning to cope with pain through play — it’s nothing short of life-changing.

Your generosity has made these sessions possible, helping children not just to learn their lessons but to rebuild their spirits. But there is still so much to do.
