Safe Spaces, Healing Journeys

Thanks to the continued commitment of our donors and partners, Remar Casa Hogar Occidente remains steadfast in restoring the rights and dignity of 70 girls who are survivors of various forms of abuse. This quarter has been a period of continuity and growth, strengthening existing programs while expanding opportunities that support the girls’ holistic development.

Every step we take is focused on healing, protection, and empowering each girl to grow in a safe, nurturing, and hopeful environment.

Continuity and growth of formative workshops

During this reporting period, we continued and strengthened key workshops that have shown a positive impact on the emotional, creative, and practical development of the girls:

Jewelry-Making Workshop:
This workshop continues to grow steadily, allowing the girls to develop fine motor skills, creativity, and concentration. It also fosters self-esteem, patience, and consistency, while introducing productive skills that may support future independence.
Community Garden (Vegetable Garden):
The garden remains a central educational and therapeutic space. This quarter, the girls learned how to produce compost, gaining knowledge about organic recycling and environmental care. The compost is now used to nourish the garden, reinforcing sustainability and responsibility.
Connection with nature and creation of a safe bond:
We continue encouraging meaningful interaction with nature as a path to emotional healing. The garden and green areas have become spaces of protection and recreation, where the girls build a sense of safety, calm, and trust—essential elements for emotional recovery.

Early childhood stimulation and inclusion of younger girls

As part of our ongoing growth, younger girls in the home were incorporated into early stimulation activities, designed specifically for their developmental stage. These activities strengthen sensory, motor, and emotional development, promoting care, affection, and learning from early childhood.

Recreational activities and community celebrations

Thanks to the invitations and collaboration of supportive community members, several recreational activities were carried out this quarter. During the holiday season, the girls participated in festive celebrations that brought joy, connection, and hope, reminding them that they are supported and valued by a caring community

Healing Hands, Creating Hands

Manos sanadoras, manos creadoras

Gracias al compromiso continuo de nuestros donantes y socios, en Remar Casa Hogar seguimos avanzando en la restitución integral de derechos de 70 niñas víctimas de diversas formas de abuso. Cada paso que damos es una oportunidad para sanar, aprender y construir una vida llena de dignidad y posibilidades reales.

Nuestro enfoque sigue centrado en el desarrollo holístico : nos preocupamos no sólo por su educación formal y su bienestar físico, sino también por su mundo emocional y las habilidades prácticas que permitirán a nuestras niñas construir sus propios caminos con confianza, resiliencia y alegría.

Nuevos talleres: Creatividad, trabajo en equipo y conexión con la naturaleza

En los últimos meses, hemos lanzado con entusiasmo nuevos talleres prácticos y terapéuticos que no solo enseñan habilidades útiles, sino que también brindan espacios para la autoexpresión, el autocuidado y el crecimiento emocional:

Taller de Yeso Artístico.
Las niñas participan en actividades creativas de yeso, donde aprenden a moldear, decorar y expresarse artísticamente. Este taller les ayuda a desarrollar habilidades manuales, a la vez que fortalece su autoestima y concentración.
Creación y mantenimiento de jardines.
Conectar con la naturaleza es una herramienta poderosa para la sanación emocional. Por eso cultivamos nuestro propio jardín. Las niñas aprenden a cuidar las plantas, a trabajar en equipo y a asumir responsabilidades, mientras experimentan la alegría de ver crecer algo que plantaron con sus propias manos.

Continuando fortaleciendo el bienestar emocional

El apoyo psicológico sigue siendo un pilar fundamental de nuestro trabajo. Realizamos sesiones individuales y grupales centradas en la resiliencia, la regulación emocional, la autoestima y la construcción de vínculos afectivos saludables . Estos espacios seguros ayudan a las niñas a comprender sus emociones, sanar heridas profundas y desarrollar habilidades para la vida.

También continuamos promoviendo nuestras sesiones de lectura crítica y expresión emocional , donde las niñas exploran historias que las inspiran y reflexionan sobre sus propias experiencias, ayudándolas a fortalecer tanto la comunicación como el pensamiento crítico.

Educación y recreación: construyendo el presente, soñando el futuro

En cuanto a la educación, nos esforzamos por ampliar sus oportunidades académicas . Varias niñas se están inscribiendo actualmente en programas de formación profesional (como cursos de belleza), lo que les abre nuevas puertas para el futuro.

También priorizamos las actividades recreativas y de enriquecimiento emocional . Los fines de semana y en temporadas especiales, organizamos salidas culturales, excursiones a la naturaleza y celebraciones que promueven la alegría, el sentido de pertenencia y el disfrute de la infancia.

Rebuilding Dreams

As part of our ongoing efforts within the rights restoration program for 70 girls who have been victims of abuse, we are pleased to share with you the recent progress we have made thanks to the continued commitment of our donors and partners.

Our focus remains on strengthening the comprehensive development of each girl by providing them with a safe and loving environment where they can build a resilient life project, with clear goals and the skills needed to pursue a future full of real opportunities.

New Actions and Progress

1. Academic Support and Formal Education
Over the past few months, we have enhanced our academic support efforts. We are currently in the process of enrolling the girls in vocational beauty courses.

2. Critical Reading and Emotional Expression Workshop
Our reading workshop has evolved to include oral and written expression activities, allowing the girls not only to improve their comprehension skills but also to strengthen their emotional intelligence and ability to communicate assertively.

3. Recreational and Holiday Activities
During the Easter holidays and recent long weekends, we organized recreational outings to natural and cultural spaces. These experiences have contributed to the girls' emotional well-being and have helped strengthen their sense of belonging, self-esteem, and positive outlook on their surroundings.

4. Psychological Support and Resilience Building
We continue to offer regular emotional support sessions, focusing on topics such as resilience, self-esteem, emotional regulation, and the development of secure bonds. This approach has been key in helping the girls heal their emotional wounds and find meaning in the new stages of their lives.

5. Special Celebrations: Children's Day and Mother's Day
This quarter, we placed special emphasis on creating joyful and celebratory spaces. We organized a fun-filled event for Children's Day, including games, activities, gifts, and moments of laughter and happiness.

We also held an emotional celebration for Mother's Day, where the girls actively participated in creating symbolic gifts to honor the maternal figures in their lives—such as educators and caregivers—thus fostering gratitude, recognition, and affection.

This progress has been made possible thanks to the generous support of our donors. Your contribution represents not only financial backing but also a gesture of solidarity and hope for each of the girls in this program.

We remain committed to working with dedication and responsibility so that every peso donated transforms into opportunities, learning, joyful moments, and new beginnings.
