Teach by Tech’s Career Pathways for Refugees initiative empowers adult refugees and immigrants across the Greater Denver area by offering accessible, culturally responsive workforce development programs. Through targeted computer classes, digital inclusion strategies, and the Construction Pathways Program, we equip learners with the tools to navigate the U.S. job market, pursue family-sustaining careers, and participate more fully in the digital economy.

We are deeply grateful to our community partners, donors, volunteers, and funders whose generous support fuels our mission and makes this work possible. Together, we are building pathways to opportunity.

Teach by Tech’s digital literacy programming serves as a foundation for economic mobility and self-sufficiency. Through multilingual and level-based instruction, we provide adult learners with the practical computer skills needed to access education, employment, and services. In 2025, we have served over 100 individuals and provided access to essential digital tools.

Our NCCER-accredited pre-apprenticeship program continues to expand. We have gradutaed three cohorts in 2025, training English language learners for safe, skilled, and stable careers in construction. We are especially thankful to Mile High Workshop for sharing space, and to our employment partners who welcomed our learners into their worksites.

Teach by Tech continues to grow as a bridge-builder in the refugee and immigrant workforce ecosystem. Our programs offer much more than technical training—they restore dignity, create economic possibility, and support the development of community-led leadership.

Dear Supporters,

Thanks to your generosity and unwavering support, the past six months have been a period of incredible growth and success for Teach by Tech. With your help, we have expanded our reach, strengthened our programs, and provided life-changing opportunities to the communities we serve. Your contributions have directly impacted the lives of refugees and immigrants striving for economic stability, and we are excited to share the progress we have made together.

Our digital literacy classes have flourished, serving over 100 participants who are now better equipped with essential technology skills. From navigating job applications to accessing vital community resources, our students are gaining the confidence and knowledge they need to succeed in today’s digital world. These classes have not only fostered skill development but also created stronger connections within our community, ensuring that no one is left behind in an increasingly tech-driven society.

Additionally, our Construction Pathways program has seen remarkable success, with two cohorts of adult learners completing their training and taking critical steps toward sustainable careers in the construction industry. With our recent accreditation from the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER), we are providing industry-recognized training that directly leads to job opportunities for English language learners. Many of our graduates have already secured employment, demonstrating the power of workforce training in transforming lives.

We are also thrilled to announce that Teach by Tech has moved into a new co-working space, allowing us to expand our programming and provide a more welcoming and resourceful environment for our students. This space will serve as a hub for learning, community-building, and workforce development, reinforcing our commitment to equipping individuals with the skills they need to thrive.

Our new workshop

In recent months, Teach by Tech has made significant strides in expanding its workforce development programs, especially in addressing the needs of adult refugees and immigrants in the Greater Denver area. We are proud to announce the launch of the Construction Career Pathways program, designed to provide critical job skills training for individuals seeking opportunities in the growing construction sector. This program, tailored to the unique challenges faced by adult refugees, is already garnering interest from community members eager to build sustainable careers. Moreover, we are working to incorporate professional development for instructors, ensuring they are well-equipped to deliver high-quality education and training to our participants.

In addition to the Construction Career Pathways program, our Manufacturing Bridge Program continues to see strong engagement. This initiative connects participants with critical manufacturing skills and directly aligns them with employers who value diversity and are committed to creating inclusive work environments. Through these programs, we are helping participants move from low-wage jobs to more stable, higher-paying positions, ultimately contributing to greater financial security for their families.

Looking ahead, Teach by Tech is working on new strategies to ensure the voices of workers and learners of color are incorporated into workforce policy and program design. We are currently applying for funding that supports these goals, which will allow us to deepen our engagement with the community and amplify the perspectives of those most impacted by workforce inequities. These efforts align with our long-term vision to see our former students and community members take on leadership roles, becoming key decision-makers in shaping the future of Teach by Tech’s workforce development initiatives.
