Project Report | Nov 10, 2025
Build sustainable futures through Education

By Ms. Oratai (Dang) Thaweesin and Ms. Debby Suchyta | Project Leader

A Heartfelt Thank you

On behalf of our team and partner, CWEFT sincerely thanks you for walking with us. Your generosity brings hope, support, and opportunity to vulnerable communities in Bangkok and northern Thailand. Together, we are providing education, safe spaces, and planting seeds of lasting transformation—one child, one family, one community at a time.

CWEFT Mission

Supporting disadvantaged children and families in Bangkok and Northern Thailand through education, health, and community development, empowering them to break poverty cycles, prevent trafficking, and build sustainable futures through lasting relationships.

Concordia Early Childhood and Community Center (CDCC)—Bangkok
Our flagship center supports young children from disadvantaged backgrounds with holistic early education and care.

1.1 Concordia Day Care Program
  • Target Group: Children aged 2–5
  • Participants: forty-seven children
  • Objective: Full-day care and early education that nurtures physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth. The program eases financial strain for low-income families, enables parents to work, and protects children from neglect—promoting equity and long-term community development.
  • 2025 Impact Summary: The CDCC nurtured forty-seven children, with sixteen successfully transitioning to school equipped with key life skills. Improvements in nutrition and peer interaction highlighted our comprehensive approach. Thanks to your support, we also upgraded restrooms and playgrounds, boosting comfort, safety, and play.

Nature’s Story: Young, Brave, and Determined
At just nine, Nature works hard in school and at home, helping his grandparents and collecting recyclables with his brother. At Concordia Children Center, he finds more than meals-he finds hope. His dream: to lift his family out of poverty and give back to community supporting him.

1.2 Saturday Supplementary Teaching Program
  • Target Group: Grades 1–9 and vocational students
  • Participants: sixty-one children
  • Objective: Saturday classes support struggling students in math, English, life skills, and Christian education. Small groups and hands-on learning reinforce key concepts, while monthly enrichment (art therapy) and volunteer-led activities foster engagement.

2025 Impact Summary:
In 2025, the program boosted school retention and guided sixteen youths toward higher education or vocational paths. Art therapy and outreach events supported emotional growth for thirty-eight children, strengthening families and building brighter futures.

“My name is Aimy, and I am in seventh grade. Even though I face challenges like flooding and caring for my grandparents, I keep working hard in school because I believe education can change my life. I plan to join a vocational program after Grade 9 to gain job skills and support my family. My dream is to become a teacher so I can help children grow and learn. Thank you so much for your support—it means the world to me and helps me stay focused on my goals.”

1.3 School Break Program
  • Target Group: At-risk children during school holidays
  • Participants: nineteen children
  • Objective: Provides safe, structured daytime care during school breaks, offering learning, play, and emotional support while their parents’ work.

2025 Impact:
Nineteen children received academic review, built stronger bonds with caregivers, and stayed safe from harmful influences—with special focus on girls’ protection.

1.4 Scholarship Program
To ease financial strain, CWEFT awarded scholarships to fifty-eight students in Bangkok—covering uniforms, shoes, and supplies to keep education accessible. Families also received emotional and spiritual support through home visits and outreach.

1.5 Elderly Care Initiative
  • Target Group: Elderly individuals in urban slums facing illness, disability, and isolation.
  • Participants: forty-seven individuals
  • 2025 Highlights: Monthly and special visits provided essential care, comfort, and connection to underserved elders—restoring dignity and supporting those without family or mobility.

Altogether, CDCC programs supported 812 individual children and families alike—with a total investment of 2,434,187.87 ($74,898 USD).
