Dear Supporters and Partners,
CWEFT extends our gratitude to all supporters and partners for your continued commitment and support of our mission to serve children, youth, and families.
During the second quarter of 2025, which coincided with the Christmas season, the CWEFT organized a series of community-based and child-focused activities aimed at enhancing quality of life and promoting positive values. These activities included creative learning sessions and the distribution of meaningful gifts, designed to communicate the message of the “true gift of Christmas,” fostering hope, joy, and peace within the communities we serve.
The programs were conducted across six locations in Bangkok, Chiang Rai, and Chiang Mai provinces, engaging a total of 413 participants. The successful outcomes of this quarter were made possible through the collaboration of our supporters, local partners, and dedicated staff. Guided by principles of Christ’s life, being the hands and feet of Jesus to social responsibility and sustainable development (CSR and ESG), the CWEFT remains committed to creating long-term opportunities and improving the well-being of children and communities in a sustainable manner.
We deeply appreciate your trust and ongoing support.
Ms. Oratai Thaweesin
Director
Concordia Children’s Home Project, Bangkok
During the October–December 2025 quarter, the economic slowdown and rising cost of living continued to have a direct impact on low-income families in urban areas, particularly daily wage earners, and single-parent households. Many parents were required to work longer hours, resulting in vulnerable children lacking adequate care and facing increased risks related to development, emotional well-being, and safety.
The Concordia Children’s Home Project serves as a protective and holistic child development space, delivering services through three core programs:
A total of 131 children received care and developmental support during the quarter, with increased participation in the School Break Program (from 19 to 32 children) and the Saturday Program (from 48 to 64 children), reflecting growing community demand for childcare services.
Children participated in structured learning, sports, art therapy, and group activities, leading to reduced screen time, improved academic and social skills, and better emotional regulation. Community volunteer activities, including visits to elderly residents, further foster empathy and social responsibility.
Strong parental engagement and consistent attendance supported an integrated approach to child development, strengthening community trust and sustained participation
Lives Transformed: Jin’s Story
Jin was born with special needs, facing developmental, communication, and economic challenges. Since 2007, Concordia Children’s Home has provided continuous care and holistic developmental support through holiday programs and a safe, nurturing learning environment. This long-term intervention enabled noteworthy progress in communication, social skills, and self-confidence, allowing Jin to successfully remain in the education system.
Jin later graduated with a bachelor’s degree and now aspires to pursue a career in food and nutrition, demonstrating the long-term impact of inclusive child development and sustainable human capital investment.
