The children of El Shaddai enjoyed their Christmas break. A lot of fun and activities were organised during the holiday season. Gifts were exchanged, cakes were cut and the sweet kept coming in. There were so many people who came to celebrate Christmas with the children.
10 days prior to Christmas children from different homes went to various venues and hotels in and around Goa for Carol Singing Program. They sang different carols and were treated to sweets, snacks and dinners at various places.
On 19th December El Shaddai, through its Little Acorns Shelter undertook a street gifting program. Blankets were distributed by Little Acorns team on the streets of Mapusa. They were given to many people who live on the streets and who do not have any material to cover themselves from the cold climate. The people were quite happy after they got the blankets.
On Christmas Eve they were provided with special meals by different donors and visitors. Visitors came and celebrated Christmas with the children. Many groups came to sing carols for the children too.
On Christmas day all the children were presented with Christmas Gifts and they enjoyed the Christmas meal. Games were organized at the homes and shelters. It was a fun filled day.
On 26th December there was a Christmas party organized by the El Shaddai Community, sponsored by Cliff Fernando which included a lot of games and activities followed by a special dinner and dessert. They children were treated to the wonderful music of Mr. Vijay Benedict and enjoyed a BBQ later
