Dear Friend,
I am thrilled to welcome you to this report on “being the lifeline of 1000 children in India” and I would like to express my gratitude for your involvement in this project.
India faces significant challenges in providing quality education for its poor population. The poor quality of education in India has led to poor learning outcomes, pushing children out of the education system and leaving them vulnerable to child labour, abuse, and violence.
In order to ensure that all children, regardless of their socioeconomic background, have equal opportunities to receive quality education, El Shaddai has taken a step to provide education through our non-formal schools and Slum Schools.
Here they are able to acquire the academic achievements they need to interpret life situations, develop critical thinking skills and avoid social insecurity. The children are taught basic literacy and numeracy skills. We have 39 slum schools operating in Goa where our outreach workers and volunteers strive to provide holistic education and life skills support.
We bring to you a story of one of our child from our homes. Her name is Lalita (name changed). She lived in a slum where her dreams were often crushed under the weight of despair. She lived with her family of 7 members. Despite the hardships and struggles she faced daily, she was determined to bring a change in her life and in the lives of her family.
One day, fate intervened in the form of an outreach worker who reached out to this little child. The outreach worker spoke to her about the works of El Shaddai and the little child’s eyes sparkled with hope when she heard about a new home and a school. She yearned for the opportunity to learn and escape the cycle of poverty that had ensnared her community for generations. With her heart brimming with determination, she took her first step towards a brighter future.
Years passed, and this child emerged from the slums as a beacon of hope, armed with a wealth of knowledge and an unyielding spirit. She went on to pursue higher education and is now currently working in a Finance company.
When we see these wonderful transformations it brings joy to our hearts and all this would not be possible without your help and support. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your incredible generosity. Your kindness and compassion have touched the lives of many, and we are honoured to have you as our sponsor.
Your impact extends far beyond the present moment; it shapes the future of these children and generations to come. Together, let us be the lifeline that inspires hope, ignites dreams, and transforms lives.
El Shaddai Family!
