Children's Christmas Celebration

The children from 6 children's residential homes had great Christmas celebration. The children had Christmas Party on 26th December. The party was organized with snacks, games, African Dance, singing, special dinner and lots of fun. The place was decorated with baloons with good lighting and music. The children had great Fun. The children also decorated their homes; the bigger boys and girls made crib with baby Jesus in it. All the children were happy to receive Christmas gift. During the Diwali vacation the children had gone to swimming pool at Siolim where  they had lots of fun and enjoyed. The children goes to beach with his friends especially on Saturday and Sunday along with staff.

The Day Care Shelters across Goa provides nutritious lunch, extra coaching and school requirements to the regular children. The Shelter reach out to children through nutritiou meals distrituion on street/slum, slum schools around Calangute, Margao and Panaji. The Shelter has full time staff; fieldworkers, teacher, Incharge, and a cood. The Shelter conducted various campaigns like Prevention of Child Abuse, Prevention of Domestic violance in Slum, Personal hygine talk in school, slum and center, Health camps, Save the girl child. In the holidays the children go for outings to beach and organize lot of games. The center also conducted drawing competetion, dance competetion, spelling competetion and fency dress competetion. The Shelter had blood donation day, women's day, Seniou citizen day, World population day, Independence day, Teacher's Day etc. The children had celebrations and fun during the Ganesh Chaturthi, Diwali and Christmas festival. Special food is cooked and served occassionally like children's party. Every month the shelter celebrates group birthdays of the children. The children are given first aid. Mock fire drill is conducted in the shelter to prevent and teach the children fire safety. The children are supervised and made sure that they are happy and doing well in the school. The children are given the school requirements once in every 3 months. The children attend the shelter regularly. We encourage management student to come in as interns to work with these children to teach them spoken english, self confidence building activites etc. in the shelter. The Shelter has many volunteer to help with the activities. All of the children are coming from deprived and broken families. They need your continous support.
