Dear Supporters,
It really is so special to see the number of celebrities, communities, medical professionals and others talking about this terrible illness. Since our project began the survival rate has dramatically increased and this is so incredible and while other charities that fund for vital research to help with cure cancer is just as important we really do value your support to help young children and their families that are living this nightmare every day.
Yes we know 1 in 2 people in the UK will get cancer and yes more are surviving but just imagine that feeling when your child of aged 4 or 5 is diagnosed. It smashes families worlds overnight, parents need to make the choice to work or become a carer, the cost of petrol and parking to and from the hospital is not cheap.
As we approach summer in the UK we have been able to use some of your donated money to send 3 families in this situation away for a week to a safe home where they can take their mind off it just for a week, we have also provided over 10 grants to families in financial need and delivered 50 backpacks to families that have be admitted immediately to hospital post finding out that they have cancer.
This is a cruel and tough fight and your support has made it so much easier for so many families, thank you for donating!
