Helping Children with Cancer Across the UK

Theo a 3 year old boy playing happy and never had any health issues got a ear infection and so his mum took him to see the local GP, provided with antibonitcs that seemed to make him feel much better. A week later he kept getting random fevers and with some calpol it would return to normal and he felt okay again, it continued for two weeks and his parents thought it was part of his ear infection but one night he began to sweat and he started getting more than usual bruises so his parents took him back to the GP. As a concerned parent the GP listened and beleived her patients mothers gut and decided to take bloods for further investigation. After three days passed an urgent call from the GP was that Theo has Leukamia and must go to hospital at once, the moment a family life changes.

Nobody is prepared for that call and upon getting to the local hospital a team of medics awaited and it was more serious so he was transfered to a cancer hospital. He is still having treatment and our hopes are with him and the family. 

This story is one of many and it is hard to imaging what they are dealing with and that is where we come in witih your donations and support, our professionally trained team meet families in this situation at the local hospital providing them with care packs funded by you and providing them with the suport. Even though the NHS services are free the cost to a family fighting child cancer is around £600 extra.
