Dear Supporters,
As we approach the end of the year, we are grateful to share the latest developments from Tondo—one of the most vulnerable communities in Manila, yet also one of the most resilient. Your continued support is helping protect children who grow up among mountains of garbage, unsafe water, and constant exposure to disease. Because of you, hope continues to grow in this village.
Children in Tondo face ongoing threats from contaminated water, hazardous waste, insect-borne infections, and persistent skin diseases. With your help, we were able to:
Distribute vitamins to boost children’s immunity
Provide ointments and basic medications for skin diseases caused by toxic waste exposure
Supply masks and emergency hygiene items to reduce respiratory illnesses and protect families amid
Local volunteers shared that children receiving vitamins regularly are showing better resilience against common colds and skin irritation.
Community Engagement and Education
Our small-group workshops introduced earlier this year have continued to grow:
Families attended sessions on nutrition, clean water practices, wound care, and waste-related disease prevention.
Stories of Change
Several parents shared that they feel more confident caring for their children’s skin conditions, knowing they now have ointments, vitamins, and basic supplies at home.
In the coming months, we plan to:
Conduct another vitamin and medical kit distribution, prioritizing children showing signs of weakened immunity
Strengthen our skin disease response, introducing early-stage treatment guidance for parents
Thank You for Being the Change
Your generosity is giving children in Tondo something they have rarely experienced before—consistent care, protection, and the hope of a healthier tomorrow. You are helping ensure that no child must suffer simply because of where they were born.
We remain deeply grateful for your compassion and partnership.
We look forward to sharing more stories of progress and resilience in the next report.
With heartfelt gratitude,
U9Change Team
