By NNENNA OKOTURO | Project Leader
We are pleased to share an important milestone in our mission to empower communities and create lasting social impact. Our charity has successfully acquired a new parcel of land in Warri, Nigeria. This purchase marks a significant step forward in supporting local farmers while strengthening our commitment to family welfare and child development.
Next Steps – Soil Testing & Agricultural Planning
In the coming weeks, we will begin comprehensive soil testing to determine the most suitable crops for the land. By identifying high-yield, sustainable crops, we can ensure that farming families achieve reliable harvests, improve food security, and generate steady income.
Our Vision for the Land
We will lease plots to local farmers at minimal cost, providing them with the opportunity to plant, grow, harvest, and sell their produce. By removing the barrier of land ownership, we create sustainable livelihoods that can support an entire family’s needs.
Direct Link to the Children’s Wellness Center
A core aim of this project is to break the cycle of poverty and ensure children have access to a better future. Increased farming income will help parents provide nutritious food, stable living conditions, and most importantly, education for their children. Families participating in the program will also have priority access to the Children’s Wellness Center, where children can benefit from health screenings, nutritional programs, and learning resources. By combining economic empowerment for parents with wellness and education support for children, we are creating a holistic model for community upliftment.
Impact on the Community
This initiative will:
Provide farmers with the means to support their families sustainably
Improve nutrition and overall health in the community through increased access to fresh produce
Enable more children to attend school and participate in wellness programs
Create a stronger, healthier, and better-educated next generation
Our Commitment
The Agricultural Land Project in Warri and the Children’s Wellness Center are two pillars of one vision: building thriving communities where every child has the opportunity to grow up healthy, educated, and full of hope. We look forward to sharing our progress as we move from soil testing to planting, and from planting to harvest.
Together, we are cultivating crops — and brighter futures.
