Circus of Hope Bangladesh

We are honored to announce that our project has just been selected as GlobalGiving’s Project of the Month for November 2025. “Circus of Hope” was selected from a pool of more than 5,000 nonprofit projects in 170+ countries.

Thanks to the support from GlobalGiving’s Project of the Month we can now once again fill up the funding gap and not only continue our activities as before but also add more resources to support the children who need it most.  Starting from this week, three female trainers are employed inside the Rohingya camps to increase girls’ participation in the regylar weekly activities.

This month, we are also hosting “The Flying Seagull Project” https://www.theflyingseagullproject.com/  in the Rohingya refugee camps and Dhaka  slums in partnership with KOINONIA and Flourish Foundation. The Flying Seagull Project would be making shows and conduct workshops both for and with our young artists. These joint performances and workshops strengthen the capacity and confidence of our teams, working alongside some of the best international artists.

In the last three months, many of our youth have taken their skills to a higher level through continues practicing. Their abilities in juggling balls and clubs, acrobatics, and other disciplines have improved significantly, and an vibrant subculture of learning, enjoyment, and progress in social circus has been developed within their communities.

Thanks to your support, especially through the GlobalGiving Rohingya Refugee Relief Fund, we have the essential support to continue our activities in Camps 14, 15, and 16 of the refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar, in partnership with KOINONIA. After successfully completing initial projects supported by other sources, we are actively seeking further support to continue and expand our efforts.

Unfortunately, many funding sources are limited, restricted, complicated, and often delayed. That’s why individual donations, and especially GlobalGiving’s flexible and timely support, make a real difference. This year, the Relief Fund is helping us bridge a critical financial gap, allowing our trainers and children to remain active, practice, improve, and continue spreading joy and hope. Without this support, we would have been forced to pause all activities for several months and start again from scratch.

The children have shown incredible progress. Many are now mastering more advanced artistic and technical skills, such as 4-ball juggling and increasingly polished performances. Social Circus is much more than a distraction from their traumas; it is a powerful tool for personal and social development, providing hope, confidence, and joy in the most challenging conditions.

A particularly inspiring milestone occurred last month: for the first time, another organization reached out to invite our team to perform at their event. Until now, we’ve been the ones initiating such activities. This shows that our teams are gaining recognition and that the message of Social Circus is spreading within the camps. It signals the beginning of a new era—one with greater visibility, broader impact, and increased potential for collaboration and support from other NGOs.
