Dear Esteemed Supporters,
Introduction
Mangroves, being up to 10 times more efficient than terrestrial ecosystems at long-term carbon absorption, are critical in our fight against climate change. However, these vital ecosystems are under threat. In Africa, they are being cut down to make way for tourists, while in Thailand, Mexico, and Indonesia, they are being cleared for shrimp pens. Even in Florida, their numbers are dwindling.
Report
By working together and engaging the community to help plant these trees, we are not only educating the community about this issue but also restoring and replacing mangrove forests. These trees can absorb more carbon than any other, and their resilience in salt water makes them a unique ecosystem. They provide a home to over 48 different types of birds, and their roots offer a habitat for a variety of marine life. Moreover, they protect us by acting as a barrier against rising sea levels and shoreline erosion.
However, we’ve noticed a significant slowdown in donations recently. We understand that times are challenging, but we want to emphasize how crucial your support is to our mission. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to restoring these vital ecosystems.
Thank you for your unwavering support and belief in our cause. We look forward to continuing this journey with you.
