Help 150 Communities Plan and Design Their Future

La Cartuchera has been an ongoing effort on behalf of our team to share the tools we have learned from our projects, past citizen movements and victories towards justice. This tool has been created to be shared as a methodological resource for participatory design, planning, and organizing. Our intention is to democratize and make accessible processes that facilitate looking and manifesting future collective goals. 

Since its beginnings we have certified over 40 community members, leaders and professionals from diverse backgrounds and expertise. The facilitations have included participants from towns like Cidra, Coamo, Isabela, Lajas, Ponce, San Juan, San German, Trujillo Alto and Yauco. 

Participants have since utilized the tools to conduct imagining workshops for the Puertorican artist community, conduct a presentation about participatory processes and hold a participatory tourism department travel journey. As we previously reported the Caribbean Regenerative Community Development (CRCD) has since used the icons, tools and resources to amplify their sustainable practices within public spaces. 

These ideations along with the capacity workshop feedback have given us strategy ideas to improve and amplify our tools. Since then we have not only planned the next strain of certifications but been motivated to edit, reflect on co-creation and growth, translate and amplify the resource. Hopeful to make it a trans Caribbean and international link to self-reliant community efforts everywhere. 

La Cartuchera resource relies on your donations for non restricted funding that allows us to host people from different areas, granting safety nets that include food and travel, provide visual aid materials, and present opportunities to gather and analyze feedback to feed relevant knowledge.
