Tools for better parenting
We celebrated another edition of the Program in Los Vázquez, with the participation of all the families who were part of the project, which seeks to strengthen the role of parents in their children's early development, providing them with tools to play and share moments that promote learning and education.
Sitting in a circle, the mothers listened to the welcoming remarks and then followed the instructions to write messages on small circular pieces of paper to decorate a Christmas tree. The notes were to contain the words that, for them, summed up their experience in the program. Thus, concepts such as time, play, fun, learning, unity, happiness, teaching, accompaniment, and patience could be read.
We would like to share some of the phrases expressed by the mothers:
Jorgelina: “The program improved the relationship between neighbors. We were able to get to know each other better, even though we live close by, but we had no ties. It's something I value very much.”
María: "I learned the value of the time we have to devote to children in their childhood. It's something I didn't have and now understand is vital: sharing with them, playing, learning, being by their side."
Paula: “This program helps you emotionally; it's spectacular. Thanks to the tools they gave us, I learned how to handle different situations with the kids.”
These changes in the communities are happening thanks to your help. Let's continue working together to improve daily life.
