Thanks to the support of our GlobalGiving donors, we are set to run our online, one-day Conference (Slam) on Thursday 20 November 2025, which is truly designed by young people, for young people.
This Conference has been planned and organised by our Youth Action Group. Comprised of students aged 15 to 25 years old from across the UK, they have met weekly since the start of Summer to create the programme, organise workshops and speakers and ensure this is an event tackling the pressing local and global issues that young people want to address. As well as young people from schools and youth groups across the UK, we also have attendees “Zooming” in from South Africa.
This is a wonderful opportunity for young people to be part of an event that allows them to consider the issues that concern them in a safe and brave space, without having to travel. It opens the door for them to meet others who have the same concerns and hear how individuals can take action to make a difference.
Elements of the programme are:
Panel 1 – “Conflict Caused by Systemic Issues”
Panel 2 – “How One Person can have an Impact on Global Issues”
Workshops: “The Art of Debate”, “Hidden Disabilities”, “Equality, Diversity and Inclusion”, and “Tackling Eco-anxiety”
Family Groups – 3 opportunities to reflect, and discuss – facilitated by our team of well-trained Mentors (university students and young professionals)
There is still time to register for this excellent event:
