Update from AIF in Zanzibar!

Happy New Year from the African Impact Foundation Team! Thank you for being in our circle of change during such an uncertain year and we can't wait to continue making impact alongside you in 2021!

Although our regular activities in Zanzibar have not yet restarted due to the challenges of COVID-19, we can't thank you enough for making the future of our projects possible. Because of you, our projects in Zanzibar will be able to continue.

We look forward to updating you on those plans! In the meantime, let us reflect on a few of the ways we were able to support our Tanzanian communities, including Zanzibar, in 2020 because of generous donors like you:

Employed local tailors and our Women’s Group to make 850 masks for students, families, and shop owners in Tanzania and Zambia
Held COVID-19 training and awareness workshops to community and family leaders in Tanzania
Set up 20 hand-washing stations at schools and in communities in Zambia and Tanzania
Provided 155 disinfectant packages to community members in South Africa and Tanzania
Supported the nutrition program at an old age home in Tanzania by supplying weekly fruit
Supported nursery schools in Tanzania with three months’ worth of porridge for their breakfast program

Supporting communities through this challenging time has meant we have had to pivot priorities, but we look forward to getting back to our regular programming soon. We hope you are staying as healthy, happy, and active as you can during this time! Thank you so much for supporting our Zanzibar projects!
