Dear friends,
Warm greetings from Bright Kids Charity,
“After Yaroslav was born, I was the happiest person in the world.” With these words, Oleksandra began sharing her story. Soon after, she was devastated to learn that her son had developmental disabilities.
When the war reached their hometown and occupying forces moved in, Oleksandra made the courageous decision to leave. The family began again in a safer place, facing uncertainty with strength and determination. Despite the challenges of displacement, Oleksandra never stopped seeking the support her son needed. At the same time, she chose not to focus only on her own family’s struggle — she began volunteering in social initiatives to help others in similar situations.
Determined to create lasting change, Oleksandra founded a centre dedicated to supporting families raising children with developmental and mental disorders. In parallel, she is pursuing a specialised degree to become a therapist, strengthening her ability to serve not only her son, but many other children who require professional care and understanding.
Thanks to your generosity, we were able to support Oleksandra’s initiative by purchasing a vibration plate and a roller board for children with sensory processing disorders. The total amount of support provided was USD 242. These tools are already helping children improve their sensory integration, coordination, and overall well-being.
Supporting mothers like Oleksandra is especially important. These women carry the daily responsibility of caring for children with special needs — a task that requires immense emotional strength, time, and financial resources. Yet some, like Oleksandra, go even further: they transform their personal hardship into a mission to serve other families. By empowering such mothers, we are not only helping one child or one family — we are strengthening entire communities.
We kindly ask for your continued support of this project. Your contribution helps ensure that children with special needs receive the therapy and care they deserve, and that dedicated mothers like Oleksandra can continue their vital work.
Together, we can multiply hope.
With gratitude,
Bright Kids Charity Team
