Thank you once again to all of our fantastic supporters, we have reached a number of the Our Sansar goals over this past year and it is all down to you. Our Children's Home in Birgunj, Nepal is going from strength to strength - we are making connections with local schools, communities, and businesses who are all instrumental in making this project work - and enabling us to continue the work we are doing, supporting street children to receive an education, and giving them a roof over their head (and the rest!) when they need it.
This is all down to you and the help you continually give us.....THANK YOU!
We have lots of exciting updates to bring you from Nepal…
Julia and Clint from Our Sansar HQ have been out visiting the boys in Our Sansar’s Children’s Home. They’ve been seeing how Kamal and the other boys are getting on and settling into the home – but also improving the home and ensuring all your generous donations go directly to the boys. It is very important to us that all of the funds we raise go directly, and only to those that really need it, the street children we are aiming to protect and support.
As children who have spent a lot of time either living on the streets or coming from homes that could barely afford to feed them – the boys have all had very little chance to enjoy the ‘normal’ treats we often take for granted.
So…. Julia and Clint made it their mission to make this the best summer they have ever had! Starting with a few treats shipped over from our HQ in England....
One of the boy’s favourite treats was their first EVER dip into a swimming pool:
As you can imagine there was quite a splash! :-)
The house now also has a musical instrument for the boys to practice on - a GUITAR!
The boys loved it, and have been carrying it all around the house playing. Clint gave them a few quick lessons (which they very kindly then tried to teach to Julia, we are expecting to be treated to a solo performance shortly :-) ).
Bubbles have, of course, been a HUGE hit ![]()
Julia has been telling us all; “The children are amazing, very sweet, playful, polite and really keen to study and gain knowledge.”
Stay tuned and we'll be bringing you more updates from Nepal soon.... why not head over to our Twitter page for all the latest news.
And of course, if you are keen to get involved in what we do, hear more about our projects and future plans, just drop us an email - we are always keen to hear from you!!!
