In recent months, urban areas of Ethiopia have faced an escalating crisis of food insecurity, exacerbated by rising food prices. In response, MHO has been actively promoting alternative food production strategies, made possible through the generous support of GlobalGiving. Our commitment to cultivating diverse vegetables and nutritious food on approximately 21,000 square meters of land has not only addressed immediate nutritional needs but also improved agricultural productivity in food-deficit areas. This initiative empowers vulnerable populations, especially children and impoverished women sheltered in our rehabilitation centers, fostering self-sufficiency in their communities.
The ongoing support from GlobalGiving has been invaluable, providing both financial backing and facilitating knowledge sharing that enhances our programs. Although we did not receive direct monetary donations for the s project titeled : Cultivate Plants- Cultivate Peace in Ethiopia during this reporting period, the collaborative spirit of the GlobalGiving community has enriched our understanding of sustainable agricultural practices. While we did not receive direct monetary donations for the specified project during this reporting period, the ongoing support from GlobalGiving has been invaluable.. It has allowed MHO to expand our food production efforts and continue addressing the pressing needs of our communities. Your contributions play a vital role intoward alleviating food insecurity and fostering resilience in urban Ethiopia.

Nor only that with the continued support from GlobalGiving, MHO has significantly enhanced its operational sustainability and institutional resilience. This has enabled us to extend our reach to more communities in need, particularly focusing on vulnerable populations such as children and impoverished women sheltered in our rehabilitation centers.
We are immensely grateful for your continued support and belief in our mission.
