Dear Generous Donors,
We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation for your continued commitment to the project “Cultivate Plants- Cultivate Peace in Ethiopia (#53118). Your encouragement and belief in our mission remain a constant source of strength and inspiration.
Although no new funds were raised for the project during this reporting period, we are pleased to share that the contributions previously received have been meaningfully utilized to support the publication of a powerful poem entitled “Million Times to Love,” authored by our Executive Director, Meseret. Contentious peace and Love This publication represents an innovative and impactful approach to peacebuilding, using literature as a transformative tool to promote love, reconciliation, and social empowerment.
The poem is designed to inspire hope and nurture a culture of compassion through its profound message of resilience, forgiveness, and humanity. It serves as a creative vehicle for advancing social change and raising humanitarian awareness, while also encouraging dialogue and advocacy around conflict resolution, women’s rights, and poverty alleviation. At the same time, it honors Meseret’s enduring legacy as a peace ambassador, humanitarian leader, and poet, and amplifies the ongoing work of MHO in empowering Ethiopian women and children and promoting sustainable development.
“Million Times to Love” is far more than a literary work; it is a reflection of Meseret’s life’s mission and values. Through themes of wisdom, self-awareness, healing, and forgiveness, the poem conveys a steadfast commitment to love as a force for social transformation. It highlights the urgent need for peace, unity, and human dignity, and underscores the importance of spiritual and ethical foundations in building lasting and inclusive peace. In a world increasingly affected by violence and division, the poem offers a message of hope and a vision for a more compassionate and harmonious future.
We remain deeply grateful for your partnership and solidarity. Your support continues to make it possible for us to explore innovative pathways for peacebuilding and community empowerment in Ethiopia.
With sincere thanks,
MHO
