Even though the project ( Day Trips to connect children to african wildlife) has not been fully funded we can never deprive our children a chance to go out into the wildlife and experience nature's best.
This quarter we took five of our Green kidz Outreach schools and 21 of our creche graduates to Moholoholo rehabilitation center as part of our quarterly field trips program and In a period of a month 86 children were taken to field trips were they got to learn about different animals that the rehabilitation center has.
And for most if not all the children when asked if they have seen a Lion or a Vulture the answer was no, which is very sad for a 11 year old who lives in the heart of Africa not to have seen a Lion or be in a National park before, so with this project we aim to reach our goal of reacting and connecting more children into the African wildlife.
And to everyone invelved in helping this project run we Thank you!

Expanding the Horizons
By Rirhandzu Mnisi | Project Admin

Since we got the Jungle bus filed trips have been endless, Our Green Kidz have been exploring the bush/wild in all angels from bushwalks,Camping and Scouts activities in defferent places.
And those were not the only activities our Green kidz did, during the school holidays we thought to expand the horizons for the children that are coming from the communities outside of Kruger by offering them fun and social experiences, activities and trips that helps them learn about the world around them in a fun immersive way. Soccer matches for our boys to a day out for our girls are just some of the activities our Green Kidz got to do.
And they get to experience all of this because of individuals who are commited in supporting our project. We are greatful to every donar that is behind this project and is helping us realize our goal of raising our future stewardships in conservation and communities and we wish for more and more people to come into board in support of this project.
We Appreciate you!

Connecting children to conservation!

Our 'jungle bus' connecting kids to conservation
Since we now have our own vehicle, lovingly called the Jungle Bus - field trips are so much more accessible. We have enjoyed sending our Green Kidz to a scouts camp to boost their knowledge, team spirit and sense of solidarity. We have also taken trips recently to Kruger National Park, as well as the Graeme Naylor Museum in the Timbabati Private Nature Reserve. Really great to be able to take these trips as we truly believe that experiences, understanding, and exposure to nature are the best way to instill a love and apprecation for wildlife in the hearts of our children from the local villages.
Hoping we can run a trip a week this year! So lots of funding to raise to keep the 'wheels-on-the-bus-turning'!
Thank you to those that donated to make 2022 possible, and especially Connected Planet for funding majority of our vehicle.
