Learning, Resilience, and Progress
This September, our Underground TechSheroes continued to break barriers and defy expectations. Despite ongoing restrictions and even a province-wide internet blackout, classes continued without pause — thanks to the dedication of our teachers and the determination of our students.
Students dove deep into PHP programming, mastering everything from data types and loops to full CRUD database applications. By month’s end, they built complete student record systems — a milestone achievement for young women coding under some of the world’s harshest conditions.
Alongside their technical learning, participants took part in Women’s Empowerment classes, focusing on newborn care, family ties, and emergency readiness — gaining vital life skills to strengthen their families and communities.
These lessons didn’t just teach code — they built confidence, purpose, and a sense of possibility. As one student, Maroofa, shared:
“Before this class, I had no hope. Now, I feel alive again — learning, creating, and believing in my future.”
Double Your Impact While It Lasts
Your generosity makes these victories possible. Through the Safer World Matching Campaign, your donation is matched dollar-for-dollar — meaning every gift has twice the impact for Afghan women and girls.
Your support keeps classrooms open when others close, connects students to learning during blackouts, and helps Afghan women reclaim their right to education and opportunity.
Donate today while matching funds last — and help our TechSheroes keep coding, learning, and leading.
